Well, we're really not too sure!  Now that we're back it seems, in many ways, like we were only away for a long weekend.  However, when we think back to all the places we went to, all the things that we did and all the people that we met we realise that we must have taken part in some weird time travel experiment.

The problem is that, when you return to your normal existence you realise just how little things have changed and how little people have moved on.  I guess that this was inevitable and we did know what to expect to an extent.  However, nothing really prepares you for the return to normality.  Still, looking on the bright side, at least summer is just round the corner.

The boys are delighted to be back and are loving school.  Joe returned just in time to the sit a week of SATs.  Mark has ended up back at work (much to his disgust) but it's only a four week contract which he's pleased about!

Our house is rented out until August so we spent a couple of weeks with friends (thanks very much Neil, Cheryl, Elliot and Ashley) before we moved into a house in Whiteley on a short term let.  We were all delighted to be back in our own beds and it was like Christmas when the boys opened their boxes that had been in storage.  Carol was overwhelmed when the removal company delivered all of our possessions and promptly burst into tears.  The removal men were very supportive and even managed to resist the urge to ask "Any chance of a cuppa luv?" whilst the tears were flowing!

We'll make a few more updates to the site within the next couple of weeks.  This time round we've added the photos for Whistler and a section for Auckland which we'd completely forgotten.  We've also added a brief section on Vancouver and made a couple of minor updates to the "Extras and Fun" section.
